DC fans are quite loyal to Zack Snyder, at least that’s what the positive online response to the director’s DC Universe movies candidly states. Snyder’s version of the character and the thematic justification has been unique as it went ahead to form the Snyderverse in DC.
Fans always eagerly wait for a Snyder cut of a mainstream DC movie. Snyder has directedMan of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League,and 2021Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Now, the fans online are demanding the return of the director. The question is, will James Gunn bring him back?

James Gunnhas not been able to see the shining light falling over DC Universe since his takeover as the head of the studio. Most recently,Ezra Miller’sThe Flashsank at the box office collecting less than $250 million worldwide against a production budget of $200 million, without including the promotional and marketing costs.
The fate of both Miller and their movie,TheFlashsequel is still in the dark as the studio has made no confirmation regarding a potential sequel. Also, the controversies surrounding Miller are yet to wane. Now, fans are raising questions over Gunn’s capabilities of sustaining the DCU and handling the studios’ landscape.
The recent confirmation ofThe FlashdirectorAndy Muschiettidirecting a separate Batman movie,The Brave and the Bold,also raised eyebrows. Muschietti, who previously directed the horror franchiseIt, could not save the sinking ship of DC despite Gunn and Warner Bros. Discovery’s extensive marketing.
Muschietti’s sister Barbara is set to produce the new Batman movie with their label Double Dream, Gunn andPeter Safranwill also join the movie as producers.
“When it came time to find a director for ‘The Brave and the Bold,’ there was really only one choice,” Gunn and Safran told Variety.“Luckily, Andy said yes. Barbara signed on to produce with us and we were on our way. They’re an extraordinary team, and we couldn’t have better or more inspiring partners as we embark on this thrilling new adventure in the DCU.”
But now fans are demanding the removal of Muschietti fromThe Brave and the Boldfor obvious reasons.

The Flash, Escape the Midnight Circus Podcastwith an original scripted story starring Max Greenfield is coming to Apple Podcasts. The official Twitter handle of the movie promoted the podcast and one user commented with a satirical tone if the podcast would be better than the movie.

The Flashmovie certainly upset a lot of fans and they have been highly critical of the movie but it is highly unlikely for Snyder to come back to the studio anytime soon as he is busy with Netflix’sRebel Moonwhich is scheduled to release on 01 August 2025.
