With the excitement of fans being on an all-time high, theWolverineactor promised that he will play the same version of the character from previous movies and will be angrier, acerbic, and grumpy. The actor also revealed that he will be bigger than ever for his MCU debut.

Hugh Jackman will get bigger than ever for the role of Wolverine
WithDeadpool 3‘s filming beginning by the end of 2023,Hugh jackmanis inching closer to his explosive entry into the MCU as Wolverine. The Logan actor promised to the fans that this iteration of the clawed mutant will be bigger than ever.
Although Hugh jackman is known for maintaining a good physique throughout the year and has already bulked up for the role several times in the past, with the last one being in 2017’sLogan. In an episode ofThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert,the actor revealed his plans and calorie intake for his upcoming appearance in MCU. The actor further expressed,

“Of course. Come on, man. It’s Wolverine. I’m gonna be bigger than ever. I think at the moment, I’m building up. I’m four and a half, five thousand calories. I wore a heart rate monitor, I need to know what I’m working with here because I’m trying to bulk up. So I burned 1,500 calories in [The Music Man] eight times a week…. I was eating 4,500 calories a day”
According to reports, Hugh Jackman’s partner Ryan Reynolds has already hit the gym for the movie. And with the filming beginning in summer 2023, the actor will have enough time to pull off the desired physique to don the iconic mantle of Wolverine once more.

Hugh Jackman discussed his next 6-month preparation forDeadpool 3
Hugh Jackman recently starred in Broadway’sThe Music Manas Harold Hill, and the final performance was held on the 15th of January. After the show, theX-Menactor revealed his plans to bulk up for the next substantial role in his slate.
In an interview withWho’s Talking to Chris Wallace,Hugh jackman discussed his mindset to attain the desired body for the role in under 6 months. The actor seems to have a great start as he is already in good shape and is determined to put his time into the preparation ofDeadpool 3after his Broadway show ends. The actor further stated,

“So, we have six months from when I finish [Broadway’s “The Music Man”] to when I started filming. And I’m not doing any other work. I’m going to be with my family and train. That’s going to be my job for six months.”

The production ofDeadpool 3is set to begin by the end of 2023 summer, with filming to wrap up by the end of the year. With Hugh Jackman already in good shape, it’s reasonable to presume that the actor will be able to attain the desired look for his MCU debut.
Deadpool 3will hit theatres on June 09, 2025.
