The narrative ofDay Shiftfollows the San Fernando Valley pool cleaning crew worker, Bud Jablonski (Jamie Foxx) who also doubles as a member of the International Union of Vampire Hunters, going through a final few kills just to rack up enough money to provide his whipsmart daughter a better life. But things turn chaotic when he is forced to pair up withDave Franco‘s amateur character, Seth.

Perry, he was told it would be“John Wick with vampires, essentially”and if that is not a good enough reason to jump on board, then what is? Moreover, Foxx is so impressed with Franco’s“artistic fruits of labor be celebrated”that he is incredibly keen to see it recreated again on-screen.

While talking about the possibility of aDay Shiftsequel, Jamie Foxx says,
“We got some great ideas. It’s not always normal for Netflix to do part twos, but we feel like, with this one, we got a great chance on how everybody’s responding to it already… And it’s fun, you know what I’m saying, so I think we’ll definitely try to make it happen and I think if they do, it’ll be even better.”
Dave Franco added to Foxx saying,“We’ve got a good title, we got Night Shift followed by Graveyard Shift. Trilogy, baby!”
