Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from royal duties in 2021 as Buckingham Palace released a statement saying the two were no longer working members of the Royal family. Ever since then, there has been a wave of controversy surrounding the couple. However, it looks like a friend of theirs have stuck with the pair through thick and thin – George Clooney.
George Clooney joins the group of the best actors of today’s generation and there is no doubt about that. He and his wife, Amal Clooney, are known to be somewhat of a power couple in Hollywood. Apart from that, the two have appeared to be quite close-knit with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. From George Clooney defending Meghan Markle to Amal Clooney being a shoulder for her to lean on, let’s take a look at the bond between the two couples.

George Clooney’s Bond with Prince Harry & Meghan Markle
As the story goes,George Clooneyand Amal Clooney attended the wedding ofPrince HarryandMeghan Markle, however, they didn’t know the two on a personal level. A British journalist, Rachel Johnson, mentioned in an article that when Carolyn Bartholomew asked the Hollywood power couple how they knew the bride and groom, they replied“We don’t.”Well, if that was the reality, it was going to change pretty soon. After the royal wedding, the Clooneys would invite Prince Harry and Markle to their Lake Como mansion for dinners. Clooney stated,
“We live not too far from one another and we have dinners and stuff and we’re friends with them for all the reasons that you’re friends with anybody. They’re just really nice, fun, kind people, they’re a very loving couple, and they’re going to be great parents.”
The couples apparently grew so close that there were even rumors going around that Clooney was going to be the godfather of Prince Harry and Markle’s son, Archie. However, Clooney shut down those rumors, although, he jokingly added that it was irritating that he’d have to share his birthday with the little guy.
Clooney has also proven that he’s not someone who keeps quiet when his friends are being mistreated. He spoke up about how the media treated Markle when she was pregnant.
“She’s a woman who is seven months pregnant, and she has been pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was and its history repeating itself. We’ve seen how that ends.”
It sure looks like the couple found a forever friend in the Clooneys! TheTicket to Paradiseactor is not the only one who shares a lovely relationship with Prince Harry and Markle. His wife, too, has been there for Markle whenever possible.

Amal Clooney Adores Meghan Markle
It always feels amazing to see a woman supporting another and Clooney is one of the best examples out there. According to E! News, an insider revealed how the barrister has been helping Markle settle into her new life. They also stated that Markle trusts Clooney’s instincts and goes to her for help.
“Meghan goes to Amal for many things and really trusts her instincts. Amal adores Meghan and is thrilled to see her become a mother. They will be living very close to one another and hope to see each other often. They have an understanding and common ground that has really helped Meghan and provided her with support.”
Not only is Clooney there to support her friend emotionally and mentally, but she also takes part in the joys of her life. During Markle’s pregnancy, Clooney threw her a baby shower along with Serena Williams. We hope the friendship that formulated between the two couples after the wedding continues to flourish!
