The SAG-AFTRA strike has forced a halt to the production of Ryan Reynolds’Deadpool 3. Variety claimed that this is the first significant Marvel project to be hampered by the strike.

The eagerly anticipated Shawn Levy Marvel Superhero film was put on hold a few days after the release of the first movie poster, which starred Reynolds as Wade Wilson or Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

Paul Fusco, the man (creator) behindALF, and Shout! Studios are helping the actor to make this happen. The first series of the Maximum Effort Channel’sMaximum Momentswill debut on June 07, 2025.

What is even cooler is that the Canadian-American actor was motivated to do this because he was an avid fan ofALFwhen he was younger. He is said to enjoy taking chances and making events enjoyable and entertaining.According to a statement from Maximum Effort, Reynolds said:
The actor, 46, added the following:
“Besides my irrational love ofALFgrowing up, one of the reasons we licensed this show was precisely because Paul, Shout! Studios and our intrepid brand partners wanted to plot with us to bringALFback to life.”
It has been gratifying to watch Reynolds advance his career in Hollywood while upholding his passions from his youth by bringing backALF. We will be keeping an eye on the actor to see what else he can come up with whileDeadpool 3waits until the WGA and SAG strikes are over.

Regrettably, the plans were ultimately shelved that same year because the project could not find a suitable platform. But then, in February 2022, Shout! Factory announced that it had acquired the rights toALFand that it intended to produce new related content.
So it is now actually happening.
