Chris Evans Confessed Suffering From Anxiety

When one watches Chris Evans on screen, no one expects the American action hero to hide his anxiety behind his vibranium shield. But just as humane as it gets, even Evans grapples with anxiety and trepidation. Scared of press events and public speaking, the actor even confessed feeling jittery in the past.

Falling prey to the noises in his head,Chris Evansclaimed, “Everyone’s brain is noisy, and the root of suffering is following that brain noise”. However, he previously admitted how he tried to silence his mind with extreme methods. Nonetheless, the methods rarely worked for the MCU actor.

Chris Evans Discussed His Coping Mechanisms

Appearing on theYou Made It Weird With Pete Holmespodcast, Chris Evans spoke about his nighttime anxiety. Describing himself as someone who tends to be plagued by stressful thoughts at night, Evans discussed finding a way to train himself.

Previously failing to control the piling of thoughts at night, the actor claimed how his strategy helped him view sleep as a “little vacation”.

“When I go to bed… what I would do is just kind of say, ‘You know, Chris, we’re lying in bed. Look, there’s nothing we can do right now. There’s nothing to be done about this. There’s no actual action I can take. So we’ll go on a little vacation. All these problems will be here tomorrow morning.’” Chris Evans stated.

Although the best way to resolve anxiety is by directly addressing the thoughts, Chris Evans somehow found relief in his own strategy. Instead of obsessively worrying, and annihilating his sleep, Evans found solace by pushing away his negative thoughts.
