Netflix’sStranger Things, created by theDuffer Brotherswas released four years ago. Starring Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Charlie Heaton, and Joe Keery,Stranger Thingsreceived critical acclaim upon its release. A show revolving around a small fictional town of Hawkins, things get up-side-down (pardon the pun) when a kid goes missing.

Stranger Things’massive popularity can be attributed to its engrossing plotline, flawless characterization, a near-perfect homage to the pop-culture of 1980s, and for its atmosphere straight out of a Stephen King novel. With record-breaking viewership,Stranger Thingsis undoubtedly one of the best TV series to have come out in recent times.

In the first season, we were introduced to all the major characters. From the shy Will Byers to the adorable Dustin Henderson, the cast has played a major role inStranger Things’massive popularity. Millie Bobbie Brown’s portrayal of Eleven, a young girl with telepathic and psychokinetic abilities made her one of the youngest nominees for an Emmy award.

A diverse cast and nostalgic homage to the ’80s,Stranger Thingshas come a long way after the events of the third season. The disappearance of fan-favourite Jim Hopper, played by David Harbour became a major point of discussion. But soon, the teaser trailer for the fourth season ofStranger Thingsconfirmed that Jim Hopper is alive, but far away from Hawkins in the icy lands of Russia.

For fans ofStranger Things,it might be a long wait before they visit the town of Hawkins once again.  To relive some of the nostalgia, the closest fans can get is to watch the upcomingThe New Mutantswhere Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers) plays the role of Cannonball. “The special will take place on Halloween night in Hawkins where Will, Mike, Lucas and Dustin gather in Castle Byers to eat candy and scare each other with spooky stories. Little do they know, they’ll reveal the quaint town’s deepest kept secret—the Child-Eater of Hawkins.”

With no further description available, we can only speculate whether the mentioned Child-Eater is a real monster who fled from the secret laboratory or a criminal on loose who is hunting down children. But rest assured, it should be a good trip down the lane of ’80s nostalgia, classic Halloween trick-or-treat stories and some trademark hilarious adventures of Will, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas in Castle Byers.
