The young Spielberg is following in her father’s footsteps in the world of filmmaking as she launches her directorial debut film.
She is known for her previous work inThe Right Away, a short film written by Owen King starring Hopper Penn and Brian D’Arcy James. Aside from directing movies, Destry Allyn also appeared inLicorice PizzaandI Know This Much Is True.

Steven Spielberg’s Daughter Destry Allyn On Her Directorial Debut
Spielberg will directFour Assassins (And A Funeral)which is described as a combination ofThe Kingsman,Knives Out, andSuccession. The script will be provided by Ryan Hooper, and the movie will be produced by Thunder Road Pictures.
In an interview withDeadline, Erica Lee of Thunder Road Pictures said:
“We watched Destry’s short and were impressed — and after meeting and hearing she wanted to do action, we dug in to find something. Four Assassins is the perfect vehicle for her, and we’re excited what her unique voice will bring to it – and introducing a new filmmaker voice into the elevated action space.”
The young director claimed she is thrilled and honored to work with Thunder Road and to tell a story about family, deceit, and murder. The film’s production will commence in the first half of 2023, and it has been reported that casting is currently in progress.
Thunder Road Pictures also produced theJohn Wickfranchise, including its spin-off sequelsThe ContinentalandThe Ballerina. The company is founded by Basil Iwanyk and managed by Erica Lee.
