Starfieldis not fully launched yet and speed runners are already making headlines with record completion times in the $200 million Bethesda game. The space exploration RPG was expected to be at least dozens of hours long if not hundreds but players with early access are smashing it out in a bunch of hours. Speed Runner BeatsStarfieldin Under 3 Hours
Starfieldis a massive game with a completionist run surpassing over 180 hours and such was the case with Bethesda’sSkyrimandFallout 4but players found ways to finish the game in a few hours. According to a report by VG247, the user Micrologist posted the speed run on YouTube and Discord server dedicated toStarfieldspeed running and clocked in a run at exactly 2 hours, 52 minutes, and 42 seconds to knock the main campaign over, the fastest as of now.
The video posted by Micrologist contains spoilers so players are advised to watch at their own risk. The video shows players completing the main story of the game where they can just blaze through but they have also skipped a lot as game director Todd Howard has said that the main quest will normally take somewhere around 30 to 40 hours to complete.

This record 3-hour speedrun will undoubtedly be broken in the coming times when theStarfieldis fully launched and more and more players will try to experiment. For example,Skyrim, a massive game with a completionist run of 231 hours has a speedrun record of 29 minutes and 42 seconds whereasFallout 4has a record of 53 minutes and 40 seconds.
