Martha Stewart is an American retail businesswoman, writer, and television personality, best known for her cookbooks and recipes which many people throughout the United States of America. When it comes to celebrities disliking each other, there is a list that is endless. Stewart too happens to have an opinion of Robert Downey Jr’s co-star fromIron Man.
Celebrity feuds are nothing new in Hollywood, with it existing since the very beginning of the industry, with some of the most perfect examples being Taylor Swift and Kanye West or Lea Michele and Naya Rivera. Another pair of names that can be added to this list is Martha Stewart and Gwyneth Paltrow, who have been at odds with each other for almost a decade now. The question that arises is how did this start and what is the reason for their dislike for each other.

Martha Stewart Does Not Like Gwyneth Paltrow
BothMartha Stewartand Gwyneth Paltrow have companies in the lifestyle market that they are extremely passionate about. While Stewart has been doing this for many years, Paltrow started off in 2013. When Stewart initially heard about this, she was extremely supportive of the actress, only hoping that she was being authentic in what she was doing. She did, however, make a subtle dig at Paltrow, stating that she thinks of herself to be the one responsible for starting this category and paving the way for the actress.
“She just needs to be quiet. She’s a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart,”she said.
Stewart completely switched on this, however, during an interview withNet-a-Porter, viaPage Six.She mentioned that she thinks that Paltrow should not speak on this subject at all as she is an actress. She then went on to add that if the actress was confident in her acting capabilities, she would not be trying to copy her. Later on, Stewart also made fun of the actress’s divorce from Chris Martin by using the term ‘conscious uncoupling’ when taking out an article on flavor pairings that work well in pies.

Gwyneth Paltrow Reacted To Martha Stewart’s Comments
Gwyneth Paltrow ended up speaking on this, according toThe Sun, when an interviewer asked her how she was feeling about it. The actress confessed to feeling extremely caught off-guard by Martha Stewart’s work and actions toward her, adding that she has never experienced anything such as this. She also added that she was very upset at the fact that the businesswoman looked at her as a competition.
“No one has ever said anything bad about me before, so I’m shocked and devastated.”she went on to add,“I’ll try to recover. If I’m really honest, I’m so psyched that she sees us as competition. I really am.”
Paltrow also ended up making a response to Stewart’s jab at her personal life through recipes. The actress ended up putting out a recipe herself, this one of a cake that she called the ‘Jailbreak Cake’ making a shot at Stewart, who had spent five months in jail in 2004.
