Fans are not happy with the uncertainties of the superhero universe and withShazam 2releasing soon, the worries are only increasing.

Even thoughShazam 2promises a ton of excitement with the new characters, a lot of fans have doubts about Shazam being a part of DCU’s future. With James Gunn and Peter Safran bringing their vision to life, fans are concerned who might be shown the exit door next and this can be a bit off-putting. Fury of the Godsdirector,David F. Sandbergwhether Shazam will have a role in the DCU going ahead or not. It looks like Sandberg wasn’t a big fan of the question as he replied to the fan’s tweet stating that Shazam“definitely”won’t be a part of DCU’s future if people do not go and watch the film. Reassuring the fans, Sandberg added that he has been told theShazamfranchise does not disrupt DCU’s future in any way. IsShazam 2Going Through Some Tweaks?
It’s pretty common for a film to go through very last-minute changes if the team wishes to do so. However, fans can rest assured that they will get to see theShazam! Fury of the Godsin its original form. Sandberg is on a quest to shut down misinformation spreading around about his film as he takes to Reddit to answer a burning question. A fan tagged Sandberg’s Reddit handle, u/dauid, asking him if Gunn had added anything toFury of the Gods.
Sandberg replied to the comment with a negative. He revealed that the film was delivered right before Gunn and Safran started their regime. He added that while productions can add things to a film later on, it was not the case forShazam 2.
“No. The finished movie was delivered end of October last year, so right before he officially began the job. Sure sometimes productions can add scenes or do changes very last minute but nothing has changed on Shazam. It’s a freestanding story and they have told me it doesn’t affect or interfere with future DCU plans so no reason to change anything.”
That sure is a sigh of relief! It’s quite interesting to imagine how Levi’s Shazam will fall into Gunn and Safran’s plans for the future.
