Before You Begin

Some simple fixes that you may or may not have tried already. Scan through them quickly to find out.

1. Select Network Operator

The network operator on your phone settings should be the same as the one that issued the SIM card. Usually, you don’t have to set it up. However, if you are in an area with no network, your phone may switch to a different network temporarily or you may have tried it and forgotten about it.

2. Change Network Mode

You must choose the correct network mode. There are a few to choose from like 4G, 5G, etc. Older network modes lose support over time like 3G in favor of faster ones.

3. Turn On/Off Wi-Fi Calling

Wi-Fi calling, when enabled, will use the internet to place a call instead of your mobile network signal. A boon when the network is weak leading to call drops or difficulty making and receiving calls on Samsung Galaxy phones. Enable Wi-Fi to see if it helps. On the other hand, if no Wi-Fi networks are available, try disabling it, forcing the phone to use the network instead.

4. Reset Network Settings

I wouldn’t recommend doing this step light-heartedly. This can delete all your connected devices including routers. Here’severything that will happen if you reset your network settings. Read before you go ahead.
