“Thearticle implied that the claimant (Kidman) had led Jude Law to cheat on his wife Sadie Frost, and by her behavior caused the breakdown of their marriage.”
He further added how the article caused damage to the actress’ reputation and led her to “considerable embarrassment and distress.”
Thus, eventually, Nicole Kidman was able to prove there was no truth in the rumors and won the lawsuit. According toThe Guardian,The SunandDailyMailwere called “to publish an apology, and pay the claimant a sum in damages and her legal costs”. The news outlets were also asked to never repeat publishing such damaging allegations against Kidman.
