MultiVersus patch 1.04 notes: Stripe release, new map, Halloween Event, more

Yet another massive content drop is locked in for MultiVersus as the patch 1.04 notes have revealed everything from Stripe’s release date to a new map and of course, a range of balance tweaks as well. Here’s everything you need to know.

Not letting off the gas one bit afterthe 1.03 patch just days prior, the next major MultiVersus update is now lined up and appears to be one of the biggest yet. From new characters and maps to a limited-time Halloween event, there’s plenty for fans to look forward to.

As always, with the new update also comes an assortment of balance adjustments for existing fighters, as this time, 16 characters have been changed to some degree.

MultiVersus 1.04 patch key details

Patch 1.04 in MultiVersus brings a new character, map, and a Halloween event where you’re able to earn exclusive skins and candies, alongside gameplay changes, character updates, and new cosmetics.

New character, map, and gameplay changes

MultiVersus’ new character isnone other than Stripe himself, the popular antagonist from Gremlins. There’s also a new map that will appear soon, though it will be limited to custom games only and is currently in an “experimental” phase.

Gameplay will also have some changes, with the Anti-Infinite and Dodge Meter Systems having been tweaked to balance things out. Several characters have been balanced in the new MultiVersus patch, with bugs for characters like Arya, Iron Giant, LeBron, and Velma having been ironed out.

MultiVersus Halloween event

A month-long Halloween event will be taking over the multiverse. Get ready to earn exclusive skins, and extra candy by playing either against AI or players. What’s more, you’re even able to trade these candies within the shop for exclusive treats.

TheHalloween event in MultiVersus starts on July 30, 2025, and will run till June 04, 2025. During its runtime, you can earn additional candy if you play matches as Combat Stripe, Combat Gizmo, or other Halloween-exclusive skins.
