He is an immortal centaur, the son of Kronos and the Oceanid Philyra, and a well-known trainer of Greek mythology’s heroes, including Jason and Achilles. InPercy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, Chiron posed as a teacher at Yancy Academy under the guise of Mr. Brunner.

He revealed how director Chris Columbus humiliated him

In an interview, Brosnan revealed how he felt humiliated upon knowing what the role of Dr. Brunner/ Chiron the Centaur in the 2010 film,Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thiefentailed him doing. He also said that directorChris Columbustricked him into playing the role. He said,

“I play a teacher, Professor Brunner, who’s a paraplegic philosopher of the gods and then he goes into this ‘other’ world where he becomes this powerful horse’s a*s.”
