However, one interesting tidbit that will make everyone raise their eyebrows about his marriage is that he didn’t want to put the wedding ring on his wife. In fact, he felt that he was being married off against his will to his wife, Joan Lin, in 1982.
Jackie Chan Didn’t Want To Marry His Wife More Than 40 Years Ago
In a 2015 interview with the China Press,Jackie Chanrevealed a startling tidbit about his marriage. He admitted that he didn’t originally want to marry his wife of more than 40 years, Joan Lin, in 1982. They were secretly married in a Los Angeles coffee shop. The actor said that he was forced to marry her because she had accidentally gotten pregnant with their son Jaycee. Chan had said:
“It was an accident which conceived Jaycee. I had never thought of getting married, but I felt it was akin to being forced to get married.”

Later on,The Forbidden Kingdomactor revealed that he had several girlfriends when he was younger. Allegedly, the actor also had multiple affairs while he was married. The most famous one is with Asian beauty queen Elaine Ng who he supposedly began dating in 1992. She gave birth to their daughter, Etta Ng, in 1999. However, he is apparently estranged from his daughter for a reason that has riled up the internet.

Why Is Jackie Chan Not In Contact With His Biological Daughter?
Recently, Jackie Chan went viral for a video where he showed a young woman his previous stunts and action filmography. She asked if he was hurt while doing them, and he responded affirmatively. Later on, she commended him and said that he was awesome as both hugged each other. This emotional moment touched everyone’s hearts because initially, people assumed that the young woman was his daughter Etta Ng.
However, this apparently isn’t the case. He doesn’t have any relationship with his daughter, as he allegedly disowned her before she was even born. After all, she was born out of wedlock. Many of his fans also think that he doesn’t have any contact with her because she’s homosexual.

So the young woman in the video isn’t his daughter but actress Liu Haocun, and the clip is from a film calledRide On,where Jackie Chan plays a stuntman. His character watches his old films with his daughter in that movie.
The actor has since been getting trashed online for his supposedly homophobic views. Previously, he had also come under fire becauseMichelle Yeohhad accused him of being a misogynist. Guess the actor can’t catch a break nowadays.
