In some hilarious news, a TikTok user by the name of Nivine Jay matched with Affleck on the dating app. Thinking that the account was probably fake, Nivine Jay unmatched the actor. Affleck proceeded to send a video into the DMs of Nivine Jay on her Instagram.
“Thinking of the time I matched with Ben Affleck on Raya and thought it was fake so I unmatched him and he sent me a video on Instagram.”
Jay revealed that in the videoBen Affleckasked her the important question of why she had unmatched him.
“Nivine, why did you unmatch me? It’s me.”
Well, the actor received quite a backlash from the people since they found the actor’s behavior a little creepy and stalker-ish.

Well, the video soon went viral and people went ahead and called Affleck somewhat creepy and his behavior as a little stalker-ish. Stating that the actor directly slid into the person’s DMs, fans rallied against the actor and his mode of conduct.
Things got so bad that Nivine Jay had to clear the issue by appearing in an interview. Absolving Affleck of any guilt by making it clear that she wasn’t making fun of the actor at all.
“I’m seeing a lot of comments calling him a creep and l don’t think that’s fair. l wasn’t making fun of him in the video. I was making fun of myself for thinking he was a catfish and it was just supposed to be funny.”
Although he had a controversial dating career, Ben Affleck went on to marry Jennifer Lopez in 2022 and the two have been happily married ever since.
