Before starring inMission: Impossible – Fallout,the duo of Henry Cavill and Tom Cruise had met before. With Cavill portraying the role of a co-lead in the 2015 movieThe Man From U.N.C.L.E.,it was supposed to be Cruise’s film with him starring in the lead role.

Talking about that time, theMan of Steelactor stated that to discuss the role and the film, he went to Cruise’s house. The actor revealed that Tom Cruise was indeed very humble and that they had a nice pleasant chat but Cruise sadly rejected the offer.
“So, I went to his house, and I thought, ‘Great, I’m gonna be in Tom Cruise’s House’. And I sat down on his sofa, we had a lovely chat. He was pleasant, as everyone says he is. We had a conversation, did a bit of a reading, that was it. Job done. I left. Turns out Tom Cruise is no longer making Man From U.N.C.L.E.. He moves on to Mission Impossible.”
