Gillian Anderson has absolutely shaken the world with her powerful performance inSex Education’sfinal season. Although the series has seen a lot of criticism, there has been one common factor of praise that existed throughout its course, Anderson’s incredible acting. She has proven time and again just how brilliant of an actress she is and this latest project has only proven it more so.
It would truly be foolish to think that Emma Mackey’s series is the only iconic project Anderson has been a part of. While working withX-Files,she and her co-star got rather close. However, that became one of the biggest reasons as to why their friendship saw a downfall as well. Surprisingly, the actress’s reasoning is quite interesting.

Gillian Anderson Hates Vancouver Weather
In an interview onThe Jonathan Ross Show,Gillian Andersonexplained as to why she and herX-Filesco-star, David Duchovny had a falling out. She found the reasoning to be so hysterical that she could not stop laughing either.
“For a long while, I mean we worked you know, sixteen – seventeen hour days, nine months a year and five a half days a week. We were just, we were always together.”She added, “It’s just so stupid… I can’t talk about this without just laughing and laughing. It’s just so silly.”
She admitted that the two of them spent a lot of time together on set and it got to them even though they did not realise it at first. She found it to be silly as to just how much time they were together throughout the course of nine months. This became a nuisance much before either of them would have realized. However, it was Vancouver’s humidity that caused the fallout.

Gillian Anderson Had to Deal with a Lot of Waiting
While talking onThe Jonathan Ross Show,Gillian Anderson revealed that the amount of waiting that the two of them had to do because of Vancouver’s weather became the last straw in their friendship. Due to the humid weather, there were a lot of issues with her hair.
“Which is that, you know, it takes women a lot longer to get ready than it takes men because there’s a lot of… it’s very damn in Vancouver. So my hair gets frizzy. So we shoot in the rain all the time and then I’m a drowned rat. So we have to wait around for them to blow dry it and so there’s a lot of waiting.”
This became a big issue for them and it even got on their nerves. It led to a dispute that only got solved years later.
