In a recent interview withRolling Stone, he addressed the movie’s much-debated VFX, especially touching on the sensitive spot. The film is being criticized for bringing Christopher Reeve, Adam West, and George Reaves through the technique which many felt is a destruction to their legacies.

Addressing the same, he shared having no issue with the late actors getting resurrected through CGI in the new film,The Flash.
“It didn’t bother me all,”he shared.“I thought it was just a really nice homage to the past. It didn’t feel like an insult. That felt like an homage.”

He pointed out how many people are criticizing the resurrection but he felt that the entertainment business is meant for people to show their talent.
“Some people are like, ‘Yeah, but they’re not alive to say yes or no.’ And you know, I don’t know any actor who would be like, ‘Don’t use my image when I’m dead.’ Like, you don’t go into this business to try to be shy, right? You want to be seen.”

Referencing the same ideology, he even permitted the world to include him in anything after his demise. His defending James Gunn’s new DCU project came after Ben Affleck has no desire to be a part of new plans.

Ben Affleck has already said adios to the franchise as their Batman although he will remain associated with it as a director and producer. After Gunn and co-CEO, Peter Safran announced rebooting the entire franchise, it came at a heavy price. Franchise gems had to bid farewell to their roles which include Henry Cavill’s Superman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman along with the former’s caped crusader role.
Given that Gunn has already shared his review of the new film by stating it as“one of the greatest superhero movies ever made,”many are looking forward to its future potential. Meanwhile, fans can watch Affleck donning the caped crusader role for the last time inThe Flash, which is running in theatres now.
