Edgar Wright’s 2010 film starring Hollywood actor Michael Cera,Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,may not have been the biggest box office success, but it has been a fan and critic favorite since its release. Starring an ensemble cast alongside Cera, the movie follows a musician, Scott Pilgrim, who must battle the seven evil exes of his girlfriend, Ramona Flowers. The lead star of the film has shared that he was super excited to work with Edgar Wright and the movie, as he is a big fan of graphic novels.
However, in a recent interview with GQ, theBarbieactor shared that he got a little depressed as the filming wrapped and the cast members of the film slowly started leaving.

Michael Cera Was Sad to Lose theScott PilgrimWorld
The 2010 romantic action comedyScott Pilgrim vs. the Worldis considered one of the best films ofMichael Cera‘s career. Based on Bryan Lee O’Malley’s graphic novel, the movie received positive reviews from fans and critics. And the cast of the film is set to come back in an upcoming Netflix adaptation,Scott Pilgrim Takes Off.
During a recent interview, the lead star of the film recalled working on the 2010 film. Cera shared that he and his co-stars spent a lot of time rehearsing even before the filming started. Although the filming lasted for nine months, he still had fun with his co-stars.
“It was so much fun all the time because we just had the greatest vibe with everybody,”he shared during an interview with GQ. However, it was not easy for him to let go of everything. TheMagic Magicactor shared that it felt like it was“[his] world”and things would always remain the same. And the wrap led Cera to feel a“little depressed.”
He further stated,“You get used to that as you get older and as you’re acting for a while, but I was sad to lose it.”The 35-year-old actor claims that if he could have, he would have continued filming the movie. And seems like his wish has come true, as he is set to reprise his role as Scott Pilgrim in the upcoming Netflix adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s graphic novel.

Michael Cera Returns inScott Pilgrim’sNetflix Adaptation
The streaming giant recently released the first look at the Netflix adaptation of the graphic novelScott Pilgrim,which also inspired the 2010 Michael Cera starrer. Fans of the graphic novel and the 2010 movie have been excitedly waiting for its anime adaptation, which is also set to bring back the original cast of the movie, who voice their respective characters in the series.
The director of the 2010 film, Edgar Wright, is also associated with the project as an executive producer. The first trailer of the upcoming series gives a brief look at how the story will fold out for Scott Pilgrim in the eight-episode anime adaptation, which will soon be released on the streaming giant.
