Despite being apprehensive about the film’s success, the film became a blockbuster resulting in many successive films. However, some people were not welcoming enough of the film and criticized it. It was this fact that Stallone used to leverage his way out of getting a speed ticket.
When caught overspeeding in Arizona back in the late 1980s, Sylvester Stallone was pulled over by some cops, and he used his film to avoid getting a speeding ticket.
“I said: ‘Did you see ’em? Did you see ’em? Did you cut them off? Are they still there?!’ And he went: ‘What?’ And I said: ‘There’s about eight guys with guns! Shit! I was running for my life. Do me a favor. Take me in, impound the car, they’re out to kill me. I don’t know what it is. People didn’t like Rambo, there’s this radical group, they’ve been threatening me and writing letters, now they finally caught up with me'”

Despite usingRamboas a getaway from the police, the 77-year-old used to believe that his film could end his career. As production started, the star was apprehensive about the audience’s reaction and the characters, and he felt the film lacked any selling point. He even once stated in an interview,
“I thought it was going to be the end of my career. The book was interesting, but I thought he was such a psychopath, it would never fly. Every day I worried. When we saw the first cut it was devastatingly bad. My agent said: ‘Maybe we can buy it back’.”
However, all his fears were uprooted after seeing the final cut, and theRambofranchise now boasts a massive worldwide gross of about $819 million.
