James Gunn, director of the upcomingGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, has publicly declared his support for SnyderCon, a virtual convention organized by Zack Snyder. Snyder is passionate about the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Despite the criticism, Gunn, who is widely held responsible for ending the SnyderVerse following Henry Cavill’s exit as Superman, has decided to show his support for the event.

Zac Snyder has a loyal fan base, and James Gunn has faced backlash and even hate from some fans. Despite this, Gunn announced his support for SnyderCon in his fashion way through a comment on Twitter.

Even though he was rehired to helmGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, fans have not forgotten the controversy that ensued. About a month ago, Gunn argued with a Twitter user about selling Synderverse to Netflix and their hashtag #sellthesnyderversetonetflix, calling it the“wackiest hashtag ever.”
“I have to say, this has got to be the wackiest hashtag ever since 1) Netflix hasn’t expressed any such interest (although we’ve discussed other stuff) & 2) Zack hasn’t expressed any interest & seems to be happy doing what he’s doing (and, yes, we too have talked).”
Despite this, James Gunn has kept his head down and made films people talk about. There’s no sign of Gunn slowing down any time soon or paying heed to any hate that comes his way.

Why Should DCU Fans Care About the SynderCon?
SnyderCon is an annual convention that celebrates the work of filmmaker Zack Snyder, particularly his contributions to the DCEU. The event features screenings of Snyder’s films, Q&A panels with special guests, and fan-driven activities such as giveaways and prizes.
The convention was first held in 2019 and is set to return in April 2023, focusing on Snyder’s DC trilogy consisting ofMan of Steel,Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Zack Snyder’sJustice League.
