Known to play roles that make you laugh your guts out, Jameela Jamil is one the most prominent names on the television side of things in the entertainment industry. From goofy and offbeat live-action comedies to loving animated series, the star has a very diversified resume regarding the type of roles she plays.

And while she’s still discovering all the new and exciting aspects of modern television, she seems to have created some boundaries she will not cross in her career. In a recent appearance, she disclosed that she was offered a role to shoot an intimate scene for a hit Netflix series, but she declined because it went against her nature.
Jameela Jamil Rejected An Offer To Become A Part Of Netflix’sYou
With the success of Marvel Studios’ hit web seriesShe-Hulk: Attorney At Law,British film starJameela Jamilhas started getting a lot of attention from both the fans of the MCU as well as the industry in general. Thus, as a by-product of her amazing portrayal of Titania in the series, she is being approached by other series from major production companies. Although this might be a good thing for a star’s career, she felt the need to decline this particular offer cause it demanded her to expose herself on camera, something that she allegedly doesn’t want for herself.
In her recent appearance on thePodcrushedpodcast, she talked about how she was contacted by the streaming giant Netflix to become part of the superhit original seriesYou.She revealed that she was contacted to become part of the series in the recently released 4th season of the show, but she had to decline the offer as it required her to shoot an explicit scene which she is unwilling to do. Talking toPenn Badgley, the host as well as the lead actor of the Netflix show, she said:

“I don’t do sex scenes. In fact, I was supposed to audition for the most recent season of your show, My character was supposed to be quite sexy, and I pulled out of the audition, because I am so shy about anything sexy that I can’t,”
While she might’ve pulled out to become part of a great show, this isn’t the first time an actor or actress has declined an offer because they were uncomfortable with certain things in a project, which is quite a common occurrence in the industry.

Why IsYouConsidered An Amazing Show?
The success of Netflix’sYoucan wholeheartedly be credited to its psychological thriller narrative and plot point. The sheer absurdity of Joe Goldberg as a character who kills women while fundamentally believing he’s doing something decent with his life speaks volumes about just how twisted the story really is. This, in turn, entices the audience to follow the actions of the main character to see just how far he would go down this dreadful rabbit hole.
You,streaming on Netflix.
