The Butchery is a horror adventure game on Roblox. The popular game has over 70 million visits and was inspired by Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Part 3 of the game went live on 8 June, 2025, with the devs adding a whole new basement level where you have to complete tasks and evade the Horse.
A key item you have to find to unlock two doors is the Centipede Key. You need the key to open two doors, one of which is essential to progressing to the next section of The Butchery. In this article, we will explain how to obtain the Centipede and progress in Part 3.
The Butchery Part 3 Guide: Obtaining the Centipede Key
You will encounter two doors with a centipede sigil soon after starting Part 3 of The Butchery. After you exit the workshop area in Part 2, you will be in a hallway where you will find the first door. Enter the first room on the left, and the Survivor NPC will explain that he is in the basement. The second centipede door is in this room. But you will need the key to open both doors.
The Butchery Part 3 Basement Layout
To find the centipede key, you have to descend the hallway into the basement. Go back and pick up the torch from the room if you haven’t already. The first room in the basement is the red room, where a cow monster is on the table. The Centipede Key is in its stomach. To get it, you will have to turn on the chainsaw hanging above the cow monster’s head. To make the electrical connection, you need to explore more of the basement.
