How to Enable Navigation Gesture on Oneplus Secondary User Account

All OnePlus phones come with full-screen gesture navigation. For instance, swiping up from the bottom of the screen will take you to the homepage, and if you leave your finger on the screen after swiping up, it’ll open the Recent Apps view, etc. However, for some weird reasons, these gesture navigations don’t seem to work in a secondary user account. If you face such an issue and want the gesture navigation back, here is how you do it.

Enable Gesture Navigation on OnePlus Second User Account

First, make sure that you are on the latest version of the system update and also make sure that your phone is running Android 10 or above. You can check for the System Update by opening the primary account > System settings > system updates. You can check this out in the secondary account.

Now in the second user account, open the Play Store and download Activity Launcher. Although, this is a third-party launcher, don’t worry, we won’t be switching from OnePlus launcher to Activity Launcher. The reason, we are using this app is because of its ability to customize internal settings. You will still be using your regular OnePlus Launcher once everything is setup. Once downloaded, open it.

The navigation gesture is already implemented in the system, but it is just disabled in the second user account. To enable it, scroll down to the bottom and select “Com.oneplus.setupwizard.WizardApplication”.

In the submenu, find the option called “Com.oneplus.setupwizard.OneplusNavigationGesturesActivity” and click on it.

Wrapping up

Other than Navigation Gestures, you’re able to make use of few other apps like OnePlus Switch and other home screen customization like changing accent color, etc., which don’t work in guest and secondary accounts for no reason. Anyhow you still cannot access the messages app even with the activity launcher app.
