“Greta and I have been very consciously constructing a career. Her ambition is to be not the biggest woman director but a big studio director. And Barbie was a piece of I.P. that was resonant to her,”Barber claimed.

According to the latest reports of the outlet, the famed director has a deal with the streaming giant Netflix to direct at least two projects of The Chronicles of Narnia film series based on the popular novels of British author C. S. Lewis.

Great Gerwigis stealing the spotlight! The director is making waves in Hollywood with her latest work which is yet to hit theaters. Nevertheless, last year on theAt Your Servicepodcast, she revealed she was worried about writing a screenplay for her 2023 directorialBarbie. Talking about her experience working on the project Grewig shared,

“It was something that was exciting because it was terrifying. I think that was a big part of it, like: ‘Oh, no, Barbie,’”she continued, “It felt like vertigo, starting to write it, like: ‘Where do you even begin, and what would be the story?”

The California native actress added, “And I think it was that feeling I had was knowing that it would be really interesting terror.
