The budget is bigger than that of the first five seasons ofGame of Thrones, proving just how promising the series might be and just how much faith HBO Max might have in the show. While this does give a positive light on the show, it also adds a big responsibility on their shoulders.

The Last Of Us Could Be Bigger And Better Than Game Of Thrones

The Last of Uswill be seeing Ellie and Joel, as played by Bella Ramsey andPedro Pascaltake on their roles much like that in the game. The focus of the series will be similar to that of the game, the art of survival. The budget has been kept absolutely massive at about $100 Million, perhaps in an attempt to avoid what a successful TV series likeGame of Thronescould derail.

Something thatGame of Thronessuffered from was its dependency on the budget for CGI as well as a focus on its characters, a balance that was able to be managed for the first few seasons. This, however, was not as easy by the end of it as the focus began shifting from what the books had established. Story and characters were not the priority and it was instead to utilize the bigger budget with better animation. The character development of many of the individuals in the show had been slowly drifting and by the end of it, their personalities were reduced to one-liners and cheap shots.

The Last Of Us Will Avoid A Downfall Unlike Game Of Thrones

Having a bigger budget allows for the show to be at its best when it first airs and the improvement within the show will only start from a higher scale. The series has an amazing cast, story, and producers all enthusiastic about introducing their work to the world. Not only that but the series is also said to be right out of the game, with scenes and emotions that would connect with the audience almost immediately.

The show offers a lot in terms of designs and locations focusing on a post-apocalyptic world surrounded by zombies. This would allow for a more interactive experience as viewers will be able to recall locations that they encountered within the game and how they will be recreated in the show. The budget will give room for the zombies and other creatures to stand out in already established locations that too would be mesmerizing in their own way.
