How To Get Staffs in Elden Ring Nightreign
Mage Towers
Listed among the Points of Interest (POI) on the map,Mage Towersare very different from other randomly occurring locations you may come across. To get to the high-level loot stashed at the top of the tower, you must complete a challenge by finding and breaking the crest. Once you reach the top, loot theDormant Powerto unlock high-tier magic-based rewards such as rare staffs, seals, and consumables.
One of the most effective ways to get a staff tailored to your build is by defeating bosses. These elite enemies often lurk within POIs, such as castles, ruins, or underground dungeons. Upon defeating one, players are rewarded with aShard of Light.
Interact with the shard to choose from a selection of items, which usually include a weapon aligned with your Nightfarer’s class. For Recluse and Duchess players, this often means a high-quality staff with powerful spells for magical offense. The boss encounters with “Great Enemies” are particularly challenging, but also have a chance of rewarding you withlegendarystaffs.
Though less predictable, loot chests found throughout POIs can also yield staffs. These chests are usually discovered after clearing out enemies at a site. While the gear inside varies in quality, there’s always a chance of acquiring a new magical weapon.
Keep in mind that the staff from chests may not always surpass your current equipment, but they’re worth opening regardless. This is because you may find a weapon with a powerful passive effect that buffs your character even while lying in your inventory.
Castle Tower Weapon Racks
Once a castle area has been cleared, head toward the top floor of the castle tower. In several locations, especially near study rooms or libraries, you’ll findweapon racks filled with staffs. While these may not reward you with any legendary loot, searching for them while in the area is worth it, especially during the early phase of your run.
