Back in 2019, Netflix came up with the idea of adapting theVirgin Rivernovels into a live-action series. The series managed to garner high ratings as mysteries and romance surrounded a rural Northern California town.

Well, with plenty of mystery abound, fans spotted a huge plothole in the Netflix series. With the main character Melinda Monroe being pregnant, fans speculate thatVirgin Rivertakes place where time ceases to exist!
Netflix Has Got Some Explaining To Do ForVirgin River
The Netflix series debuted in 2019 and fans were surprised to see a decent series with intriguing and merging storylines surrounding romance and murder all happening in a rural California town. WithVirgin Rivergetting pretty great reviews, the series was renewed for a second season.
While continuing the tradition,Virgin Riveris currently in the 5th season but there seems to be one single complication confusing fans. Lauren Hammersley portrays the role of Charmaine Roberts in the iconic series and her character was pregnant in the first episode of the first season.

With the fifth season currently running, her character is still pregnant and has not delivered a baby yet! Several people on Reddit questioned whether the events that took place over the 5-year range in real life were less than 9 months inVirgin River.Other people questioned that whether time stood still in the rural Northern Californian town. Fans took toRedditand alleged various theories to blame.

“Am I crazy or have the last 5 seasons all occurred in less than 9 months? Does time stand still in Virgin River?”

With the SAG-AFTRA strike almost about to reach an end, Alexandra Breckenridge talked about the potential updates regarding the next season ofVirgin Riverand they do not sound too promising.

With the Netflix series wrapping up season 5 in November, a 6th season is allegedly in development as things don’t seem to be coming to an end.Alexandra Breckenridge, the leading lady of the series, filmed a video and shared it around the world which had an update regarding the Netflix series.
“I feel like I’ve been cooking since I got back from dropping off my daughter at school. I’m trying to do something fun and creative with my time because SAG is on strike and I can’t go back to work and I can’t even talk about work. So, if all y’all are trying to send me messages asking about work-related things, I can’t answer you and I’m really sorry about that,”said Breckenridge (viaHello Magazine).
The series recently took a pause with the 10th episode being released on 7th September 2023.Virgin Riveris expected to continue from where it left off on 30th November when season 5 comes to a conclusion. The 2019 series is available to stream on Netflix around the world.
