Especially if you miss a shot or face new mechanics in the game when you must learn them, they are a forgiving weapon to hold the trigger and do good damage, making them a preferable choice in many situations for players. Veiled Threat is this type of weapon in the Destiny 2 Final shape and can easily be called overpowered in the current meta for a few reasons.
It’s craftable so that you can adjust the roll to your needs and playstyle. The rapid-fire frame gives more ammo and lets you reload faster when its magazine is empty. Weapons with a faster reload always reward more DPS. And with more ammo, you can keep the trigger surprised and easily increase damage.
It rolls the headstone perk, where the final blows spawn stasis shards, which is critical for stasis builds because most of their passives and buffs build on generating and collecting crystals.
