Christian Bale is no ordinary actor, having achieved feats such as Academy nominations and wins through various iconic roles throughout the course of his career. He has a reputation for being one of the most dedicated and talented actors to ever feature in a film, known for going above and beyond for any role he plays. This does not seem to be the case for everyone on this project as almost everyone on set gathered around to see one particular scene of Bale being filmed for the movie.

All The Women On Set Gathered To See One Particular Scene Of Christian Bale
Mary Harron, the director of this film and the mastermind behind the success of this project, revealed some very interesting information during the DVD commentary of the film, as reported byIMDb. One of these pieces of information was specifically about the scene inAmerican PsychowhenChristian Bale‘s character is in the shower while giving his monologue about his morning routine. The director revealed some extremely odd behind-the-scenes information.
She mentioned that while this scene was being shot, all of the women on the set of the film would gather around to watch the scene being shot. If this wasn’t creepy enough, their reason for this was the fact that they wanted to watch Bale wash himself, as the actor is nude in this scene, imperative to showcase the twisted psychology of the character that he was playing.

There May Have Been No Need For This
Even though the majority of the women on set were excited to see Christian Bale during that particular scene, it may not have been needed as over the course of filming the film, the actor got more and more comfortable with the nudity that the film required. this specifically happened during the filming of one of the most iconic scenes in the film, the one where Partick Bateman chased a woman around an apartment complex, completely naked, and covered in blood.
It was revealed that Bale had gotten so comfortable over the course of filming, that he would happily walk around on set and talk to the cast and crew, all the while wearing nothing but a sock to cover himself and tennis shoes on his feet.
