Hemsworth recalled a time he got to work out alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger at a gym in Brazil. Stating that the moment was a highlight of his life, the actor recalled that he felt trepidation and his heart rate increased by just looking at Schwarzenegger!

Being notable and iconic actors with a penchant for bodybuilding and muscular physiques, Chris Hemsworth and Arnold Schwarzenegger have often been compared. Although the MCU star does not like these comparisons, the actor does respect Schwarzenegger deeply.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, theExtractionactor recalled the time he saw Arnold Schwarzenegger working out at a local gym in Brazil. Recalling the exact moments, Hemsworth revealed that meeting the actor in a gym was the“highlight”of his life. The actor further stated how his heartbeat increased dramatically with Schwarzenegger and Hemsworth making conversations later.
“That was cool, yeah, that was the highlight of my life. I saw him in the gym, and I was like, ‘Oh my god! That’s Arnold [Schwarzenegger]!’ And the heart rate goes up a bit; there’s nervous trepidation. ‘He’s like, Chris! Oh, hey, how are ya?’ And we had a chat. He’s wonderful.”
Chris Hemsworthstated that he did not want to go to the competitive side of Schwarzenegger, since he was afraid of what theFUBARactor is capable of. The12 Strongactor has quite the respect for Arnold Schwarzenegger since he referenced the veteran actor’s iconic scene in his latest action flick,Extraction 2.

With an action-intense movie to make, Hemsworth and director Sam Hargrave had quite a lot of inspiration from other movies to reference inExtraction 2.Revealing Arnold Schwarzenegger’s movies to be one of the biggest inspiration sources, Chris Hemsworth revealed that the film even paid homage to the actor.
“Certainly myself and Sam [Hargrave] referenced a lot of his films. There’s a scene where I’m on top of a train holding a big minigun, and I was like, ‘We gotta do the Arnold Commando shot!’ and so that’s a homage to him and all the incredible things he’s done on screen.”
