Casting director Debbie McWilliams revealed that theMad Maxstar andAngelina Joliewere among the strong contestants to star as the Bond girl Vesper Lynd inCasino Royale. “The two [actresses] who were very strongly considered were Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron,”she shared.

However, the role eventually went to theLiaisonstarEva Green. And the reason behind Theron not landing the part is still unconfirmed. While many reports claim that she was off the list as Green and Olivia Wilde were shortlisted for the film, some reports also claim that she turned down the offer.
