Not many actors and actresses manage to keep their lives private. One thing Kate Winslet understands is that with how much reach the paparazzi have, it can get rather difficult to counter them and enjoy a peaceful day. She has been in various movies that explore her skills as an actress and during interviews she does manage to tell something or the other about her private life. However, not all.
If anything, there is barely anything known about her previous marriages. All that the public knows is what the actress revealed. There is nothing wrong with that and to respect her privacy is more important than to satisfy curious fans. Lucky for them, the actress did reveal certain details about her private life.

Kate Winslet Was Not Okay After She Got Divorced Twice
Kate Winslethas been massively private about her life and she is just as proud about that. Although it was a difficult task, she managed it. Surprisingly enough, she still thinks she could have been more private. When it comes to her previous marriages, there is not much known. She married Jim Threapleton in 1998 and had a daughter with him.
“I know lots of people who are not in the public eye who have gone through several marriages, I really do, and it’s just those are the cards that life dealt me. I didn’t plan on its being that way. And f–k me, it hasn’t been easy, you know.”The actress added,“No one really knows what has happened in my life. No one really knows why my first marriage didn’t last; no one knows why my second didn’t.”
She later married Sam Mendes in 2003, with whom she had a son and later divorced him in 2010. Although people don’t know why they split or what really went down, the very incident saddened her deeply. She did not want the media to know these things about her at all and it made things much more difficult.

Kate Winslet Does Not Like Being Referred To As A Star
Kate Winslet is one of the most grounded and down-to-earth actors despite having so much fame. She does not want to be defined by her profession and often finds it uncomfortable when she gets called a movie star.
“I’ve always been so uncomfortable with that,”she stated.“I just don’t feel like one, and I don’t live like one either—not the way I imagine a proper movie star living.”
Winslet sees herself as much more than that and would always opt towards living a more ordinary life than anything else.
