Amber Heard has been alienated by the media and the film industry to as extreme an extent as possible after her very public defamation trial against her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. Having been out of this spotlight for a few months, she has become the talk of the town yet again. This time, it has everything to do with her upcoming film,Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
It would seem that DC Studios had no choice but to keep her on the project, with filming having already finished when all of this came to light. As a way to avoid controversy from fans, the Studio made the decision to keep her appearance in this film as minimal as possible. While this has made many satisfied, fans of Heard are extremely upset at this. This has been further fueled by the fact that she did not even feature in the recent trailer for the film.

The decision to keepAmber HeardinAquaman and the Lost Kingdomwas one that was very controversial for DC. Many were upset at the fact that her character wasn’t removed or recast, as was done for Johnny Depp’s role inThe Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Themfranchise. As a way to make up for this, her appearance in the film has been kept to a minimum and when the first trailer for this film finally came out, her character wasn’t seen for too long, appearing for a fraction of a second, as to not upset the fans even more.
The most recent trailer of this film did even bother to feature her character for even a split second, having her completely absent from it. While this may have worked for those who oppose the actress, on the other side of the spectrum, fans of Heard are extremely upset for this exact reason, enraged that their beloved is not getting featured in the trailer of the highly anticipated film.

Amber Heard’s absence was heavily noticed and talked about by both fans and haters of the actress. While those who dislike the actress celebrated this absence, fans were upset at this lack of their favorite actress in the trailer ofAquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Some take it upon themselves to compensate for her absence and have started mentioning her name and the impact that her character had in previous films and comics. Many were conflicted about whether they should watch this film because of this, mentioning how much they love the actress.

Makes no sense to not have Mera be just as involved in this considering it’s her fucking child! Just because depp is a piece of shit human being and lied at court means nothing. Amber Herd’s Mera is vital to the Aquaman mythos.

One fan stated that the character of Mera is an important part of the film, being the mother of Aquaman’s child and is an integral part of the story, so they find it extremely wrong for her to not be made a part of the trailer. They added that the things that happen outside of the film should not affect the movie itself to such a big degree.
