The recent Disney Plus seriesLokiput the beloved God of Mischief into the most powerful position in the multiverse as he took on the mantle of the God of Stories. He takes up the responsibility of He Who Remains and protects the multiverse after the variant Sylvie kills the powerful Kang variant. While the present version of the character is all-powerful, more variants in the comics have been extremely powerful and have done greater things.

One of them is Avenger Prime, a variant who ascends the throne of Asguard after Thor is killed. He destroys the world and kills all living beings after learning that he is the cause of the rise of the Avengers in alternative universes. However, other variants are more powerful than Avenger Prime. Here are five variants of Loki that are more powerful than Prime:

1King Loki
In the comics, King Loki is similar to Avenger Prime and is responsible for the death of mankind. He travels the multiverse to manipulate a younger version of the character to become a villain and take control of Asguard. Though he eventually regrets his actions after being convinced by the Earth 616 variant, he later becomes Loki the All-Butcher and tries to kill Thor. He is defeated by Gorr the God Butcher and ends up teaming up with Thor to defeat Gorr.
While the character is seen in the Disney Plus series, the character of Kid Loki has an interesting story in the comics. After the Earth-616 variant of Loki dies, he is reborn, is told by Thor of his past, and is taken to Asguard. Here, he learns of his past and begins to train to fulfill his destiny. He tries to turn over a new leaf and gain the confidence of Thor and the Asgardians. The character is also one of the primary members of Young Avengers.

3Earth – TRN707 Loki
This variant of Loki appears in the comics and is one of the most powerful variants of the trickster God. He wields all the Infinity Stones and wears it on his person. He is also worthy enough to wield Thor’s hammer Mjolnir. Appearing in an alternative reality in the Infinity War comics, TRN707 Loki is one of the most powerful variants but unfortunately dies at the hands of Requiem, and is stripped of the Infinity Stones.

He is the Prime Minister and Primary Adviser of King Thor and is responsible for using Asgard’s Task Force to pass draconian laws in Asgard. He also killed many Avengers.
5Mutant Loki
Mutant Loki is set in an alternative universe Earth X, where everyone is turned into a mutant due to the Inhuman Black Bolt. Asgard is ruled by the Celestials after manipulating the citizens. He realizes his true nature as the God of Mischief and joins with Thor to regain control over their homeland. However, he gains the powers of Thor and becomes a new version of the God of Thunder. He escapes his preordained destiny of being the trickster God and wields the Mjolnir to save Asguard.
